I am going to show you how it is easy to install hard drives in few steps. In this guide you will learn to do it by yourself and you will save some money by doing so.
The guide can also be used to install a 3.5' floppy drive or an optic drive (DVD). The only difference is where they are installed in the drive bay.
To install hard drives we need 4 to 8 computer's screws and a Phillips screwdriver. It is a good habit not to work with magnetic tools. Do not use one if possible.
Before we start installing hard drives, I want you to go read the disclaimer to the bottom of this page. If you agree, then we are good to go.
Step 1
PreparationFind a suitable place where you can work then open your computer case by removing the left panel.
Note: If you have to break a seal to open your case, be advice that you will no longer be able to reclaim your insurance in the case something happen to your computer in the future. Merchants put seals on the case to ensure clients will not attempt to repair it themselves then try to reclaim their insurance.
Step 2
Fixing The Hard Drive's EnclosureModern computer cases use hard drive enclosures. If your computer case does not use such enclosures, you can skip to step 3.
Otherwise, fix the hard drive's enclosure on its back. Hard drives have holes for that purpose on their back or on the side in the case of side brackets' enclosures.
Step 3
InstallationWithout enclosures:

Installed Hard Drives
Insert the drive in the drive bay. You will see premade holes on each sides of the hard drive to fix it in drive bay. Align your hard drive's premade holes with the drive bay holes, then fix it with screws.
With enclosures:
I think you already have clipped the enclosure into the drive bay, did you? If not, do it now.
Congratulation, you just installed your hard drive by yourself.
